‘Open Water’ will be the theme of the 16th Global Bottled Water Congress from 8 to 10 October in Dubai, because the market’s rapid growth represents continuing open water for innovation, health and sustainability development.
This year’s Congress features industry leaders from many of the region’s top bottled water companies including Agthia, Dubai Refreshment, Mai Dubai, Masafi and Oman’s National Mineral Water Company. There will also be tours of Dubai’s two latest and biggest new bottling plants, each involving investments of more than $150 million.
Other speakers feature the Heads of Sustainability for global market leaders Nestlé and Danone and the Chief Science Officer of Danimer Scientific, which is developing biodegradable yet also recyclable bottles. The platform will also be joined by the Chief Executive Officers of Niagara Bottling and Flow Alkaline Spring Water from the United States.
Another event highlight will be the Global Bottled Water Awards to be presented at a gala dinner in the iconic sail-shaped Burj Al Arab Hotel.
The Congress is being organised by global food and drink experts Zenith Global. Confirmed sponsors include leading industry suppliers Bericap, Sidel and WET Group as Gold sponsors and AF Compressors as Silver sponsor.
“Open Water says it all,” commented Zenith Global Chairman Richard Hall. “The industry must be transparent about sustainability and open to change. It wants consumers to open more water. The market opportunity is limitless. The future really is uncharted, open water.”
