WHEY TO GO – MAYBE ONE DAY
The quest for green energy knows no limits. Apparently cheese is now under the microscope. Or, more precisely, its by-product whey.
It’s not very efficient at the moment, but research is improving productivity in leaps and bounds.
According to the 22nd May issue of The Economist, a Greek biochemical engineer believes that, ultimately, “it is possible to get almost as much power from raw whey as from refined fuel.”
Where there’s a will, maybe there’s a whey.
