Chaly Jo Moyen, Senior Vice President - Strategy, Planning and Decision Science,
Coca-Cola North America 

Chaly Jo Moyen is Senior Vice President, Strategy, Decision Science and Insights for Coca-Cola North America.  In this role, she leads strategy development, the advancement of insights and data science, and the acceleration of digitization. Prior to this assignment, she served as Vice President, Business Development for USA Operations; Vice President, Business Development for North America Still Brands; and Vice President, Global Marketing and Innovation in the Foodservice division.  Earlier in her career she held roles in global commercial leadership, strategy and planning, field marketing and brand management.  Before joining Coca-Cola, Chaly Jo worked in brand management for Procter & Gamble in Europe. 

She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia Honors Program and a graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  She lives in Atlanta with her husband and three children. 

Bonnie Herzog, Analyst & Managing Director, Wells Fargo Securities 

Bonnie Herzog is a managing director and Senior Beverage, Household & Personal Care, Tobacco and Convenience Store Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2010, Bonnie was a managing director at Citi Investment Research where she covered the beverage and tobacco sectors in equity research. During her 15 plus years of experience as a sell-side equity research analyst, Bonnie has been a top-ranked Institutional Investor analyst. For ten years, Bonnie was recognized by Institutional Investor magazine for the “All-America Research Team,” primarily ranking as No. 2 in the tobacco sector. Prior to joining Citi in 2002, Bonnie was the senior beverage and tobacco analyst at Credit Suisse since 1997. Bonnie is best known for her in-depth proprietary research and successful contrarian stock calls. She has been a guest speaker at numerous tobacco and beverage industry conferences. Todd Kaplan is VP of Marketing at PepsiCo leading the company’s multi-billion dollar US Water Portfolio.  During the past two years, Todd has transformed PepsiCo’s approach to water by successfully launching new brands such as LIFEWTR (premium water) and bubly (sparkling water).  PepsiCo has since become one of the leading drivers of growth in the water category, and LIFEWTR alone became the #1 US beverage innovation of 2017 delivering over $200MM in sales in its first year.  Todd is passionate about building brands that have a strong brand purpose and constantly looks for ways to authentically connect them to consumers and culture through breakthrough marketing creative.  Over the years, Todd has been profiled on the cover of Event Marketer magazine and named as one of the country’s 40 most innovative marketers under 40 years old by Brand Innovators.

Throughout his leadership roles at PepsiCo, Todd has consistently brought creativity, strategic thinking, and passion, whether leading marketing for Mountain Dew, overseeing Pepsi’s NFL and MLB sponsorships, or creating disruptive new beverage innovation products.  Prior to joining Pepsi, Todd worked for Millsport LLC, a sports marketing consultancy, where he oversaw the VISA International business.  Todd holds a BA in Economics from Northwestern University, and an MBA from Yale University.

Carolyn Clark, Director Global Marketing, PureCircle 

Carolyn Clark is the Direct of Global Marketing at PureCircle, the leading global innovator of stevia ingredients.  In this role, she leads both the PureCircle Marketing and Communication teams, and manages marketing and communication strategy for PureCircle’s product portfolio, new business development and all customer and consumer touch points. She also leads the PureCircle Insights Group, which has conducted the most comprehensive, global consumer insights research of sweet ingredients, with research in several countries.

Lorna Davis, Senior Advisor to Danone's CEO; global Ambassador for the B Corp movement,

Lorna Davis is the Senior Advisor to Emmanuel Faber, CEO of Danone and is a Global Ambassador for the BCorp movement.

Lorna has lived and worked in 7 countries, across 5 continents and has been a President of large, multinational consumer goods companies for 20 years, in Danone, Kraft and Mondelez, including President of Kraft Foods in China and President of Nabisco in the US. Lorna also served on the board of Electrolux for 6 years.

Lorna was born and educated in South Africa and began her career in Marketing at Unilever. She has held various senior business and marketing positions in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, France, the UK, China and the USA,

In 2015, Lorna moved to France to lead the next phase of the journey to purpose for Danone. After Danone’s acquisition of WhiteWave Foods in 2017, she moved back to the US to become CEO and Chairwoman of DanoneWave. In that capacity, she established that $6 Billion entity as the largest Public Benefit Corporation in the world, and set it on the path to being a certified BCorporation.

On behalf of Danone, Lorna has now joined B Lab, the not for profit that supports the BCorporation movement on a 1 year assignment to support the journey of large multi nationals on the path to using business as a force of good.

Lorna lives in New York and is passionate about reinventing corporate life, country music, and saving rhinos. She also totally adores her dog, Stir Fry.

Ben Kitay, Chief Negotiation Officer, Restaurant Practice Leader, Enliven LLC

Ben Kitay is an expert in negotiating and managing best-in-class exclusive pouring rights agreements between Coca-Cola or PepsiCo and restaurant companies, airports and hospital systems. Through these beverage marketing and distribution partnerships, Kitay and the team at Enliven generate significant savings and new, nontraditional revenue streams. Enliven’s larger clients in all three practice areas commonly realize multiple millions of dollars in net, bottom-line financial gains.

Kitay has negotiated beverage agreements in fifty countries worldwide since he began his work with Coca-Cola in 1984. He is currently helping to pioneer these agreements in the airport sector. In 2016, Kitay merged his Beverage Contract Negotiation Institute with Enliven, LLC, forming the world’s leading consulting firm in negotiating pouring rights agreements.

Prior to joining Enliven, Kitay served as Global Vice President of Beverages and Salty Snacks for Subway’s IPC, responsible for beverage and salty snack commercialization and contract negotiation for the Subway-franchisees-owned Independent Purchasing Cooperatives (“IPC”) around the world. Kitay built and managed a team that negotiated beverage contracts between Subway, Coke, Pepsi, and other suppliers in thirty-five countries and saved over $130 million annually. The countries included Canada, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, France, UAE, Australia, and New Zealand.  

Prior to negotiating for Subway, Kitay held several C-level positions within the foodservice industry’s top brands. He was Senior Vice President of Operations for Cinnabon, President of Sarku Japan Restaurants, a 220 unit, mall-based QSR, and President and Chief Operating Officer of Sega Entertainment USA, a joint venture between Sega and Steven Spielberg.

Kitay spent over fifteen years with The Coca-Cola Company in a number of roles serving the foodservice industry, including as Vice President of the Fountain Division in Japan for four years.  Focused on the fountain business, his roles spanned sales, sales management, finance, and general management.  While in Japan, he negotiated both the Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studios Osaka sponsorships and exclusive supply agreements.

Ben Kitay is co-founder of Crazy Crepes, a chain of dessert kiosks which he built into 130 franchised stores in in Australia, Japan, USA, Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines.  He is also the author of “You Majored in What? The Liberal Arts Graduates’ Guide to Entering Business,” available in paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon.com

Junior Bridgeman, President & CEO, Heartland Coca-Cola 

Ulysses L. Bridgeman Jr. is the owner and chief executive officer of Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company which owns and operates a Coca-Cola production/manufacturing facility in Lenexa, Kansas and 17 Coca-Cola distribution facilities sprinkled across the USA’s heartland, including Kansas, Missouri and Illinois. 

Mr. Bridgeman acquired the Heartland manufacturing and bottling territories from Coca-Cola Refreshments USA, LLC in late February 2017, becoming one of the Coca-Cola systems newest independent bottlers. 

Prior to the acquisition of the Heartland bottling operations, Mr. Bridgeman was the owner and chief executive officer of various companies operating over 450 restaurants in 20 states, including 263 Wendy’s restaurants and 123 Chili’s restaurants.  His companies received several prestigious awards during his tenure including the Diamond Award (most effective neighborhood marketer), the Wendy Award (exemplary performance by a franchisee), the Founder’s Award (recognizing operational excellence by a franchisee), the Jim Near Legacy Award (for employer of choice) and the Hall of Fame Award (for overall achievement) from Wendy’s International, and the Franchisee of the Year Award (2012) and the Chili’s Sales Award (2015) from Brinker International.   

Mr. Bridgeman attended the University of Louisville where he graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  He was a three-year letter winner and starter on the University’s basketball team, receiving All American honors as a senior  

From 1975 to 1983 and from 1986 to 1987, Mr. Bridgeman played professional basketball with the Milwaukee Bucks.  During the interim period of 1983 to 1986, he played for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Mr. Bridgeman currently serves on the Board of Directors of Meijer, Inc., Churchill Downs, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, the James Graham Brown Foundation, Simmons College and the West End School.  He served as past chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Louisville.

Mr. Bridgeman has personally received many awards, including the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame; Volunteers of America Tribute Award for Outstanding Service to the Commonwealth of Kentucky; John Thompson Foundation Outstanding Achievement Award; Coach John Wooden Key to Life Award and the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame.

Richard Hall, Chairman of Zenith Global Ltd 

Richard Hall is an acknowledged expert on the international food and drinks sector, chairing and speaking at numerous industry conferences as well as offering independent comment on bevblog.net.  In April 2018, he served as an expert witness in one of the largest court cases in US corporate tax history.

With a degree in Economics and Government from the University of Bath, where he was also Students’ Union President, he worked in the Group Commercial Department of UK dairy market leader Unigate before joining the Dairy Trade Federation as Economic Adviser.

In five years as a Director of the Dairy Trade Federation, he also served as its Head of Public Relations and as Secretary General of the European Federation of Dairy Retailers.  From 1987 to 1990 he was Director and General Manager of beverage market consultancy Canadean.

He formed Zenith in 1991 as a specialist business consultancy for the food and drink industries.  The company now has 40 staff working for more than 1,000 clients in over 50 countries. It provides a full range of consulting and market information services.  In 2015, Zenith acquired the Beverage Digest business in the United States.

He also chairs FoodBev Media, which he founded in 2000.  Its team of 15 staff publishes two business journals and manages the foodbev.com website.

Richard has undertaken many consultancy projects over the past 25 years as well as helping form several industry organisations, including the foundation and chairmanship of the Natural Hydration Council.  In 2010 he was Series Consultant for the BBC Money Programme series on The Foods That Make Billions.

In 2013 he completed six years as Chairman of the Bath & North East Somerset Quartet Community Foundation, after two years as Chairman of the Bath City of Festivals Steering Group and two previous years as President of Bath Chamber of Commerce.  He is currently a Director of Bath Philharmonia and a Governor of The Royal High School Bath.

Neil Kimberley, Chief Stratgegy Officer

Neil has spent the past five years helping to take Essentia from a small niche water to one of the fastest growing brands in the beverages.  As Chief Strategy Officer, Neil helped Essentia author a ground-breaking rehydration study, transitioned the brand into a mainstream Direct-Store-Delivery network, build nationwide availability and take Essentia from functional product to lifestyle brand.

Neil has worked in beverages for many years, coming up through the ranks at Snapple and Cadbury beverages, as well as working with many startups like Runa Tea and Iconic Protein. He lives in Lancaster PA.




Duane Stanford, Executive Editor of Beverage Digest

Duane Stanford is Executive Editor of Beverage Digest, a newsletter covering the non-alcoholic drinks business. Previously, he spent 23 years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Bloomberg News. His experience in the beverage industry spans more than a decade.

While at Bloomberg’s Atlanta bureau, Duane was a regular contributor to Businessweek magazine and to Bloomberg television and radio. He also appeared on programs including NPR’s Marketplace. Most of Duane’s time at the AJC was spent covering local, state and federal government, as well as politics. He joined the Business Desk in 2006 to cover beverages.

Duane graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, where he met his wife of more than two decades. Laura Stanford is Beverage Digest’s marketing & subscriptions manager. They have a daughter in high school and a son in college. Duane is a serial PTA president and volunteer, holds a now rarely-used pilot’s license, and enjoys competitive tennis.
