The UK bottled water market has grown beyond imagination since the first industry event in 1992 under a halo of healthy convenience.

With a theme of 'Thirst for growth', this 27th annual conference will focus on the new challenges facing business leaders, from consumer shopping and added product functionality to concerns over plastic and sustainability.

Delegates will hear from established companies as well as the other experts and innovators on: market, consumer and retail trends; tackling the big environmental questions; and the latest in innovation including enhanced and functional waters.

Programme highlights include:

  • Market overview from Highland Spring, Kantar and Zenith Global
  • Brand building insights from Danone Waters and Nestlé Waters
  • Ideas for tackling plastic from Cambridge Institute for Sustainability, Coca-Cola and WRAP
  • Retailer perspectives involving Tesco
  • Innovation opportunities from ACTIPH Water and Radnor Hills Water
  • Hear from new entrepreneurs including Rejuvenation Water, Tudor Drinks and Waterbomb

A display area will offer any brand company the opportunity to showcase its bottled water drinks FREE of charge in our 'Chiller Corner' , which provides allocated shelf space in display fridges for all attendees to discover and taste. New businesses will gain valuable and constructive feedback first hand from industry experts and peers.

The audience will be drawn from senior industry managers, buyers, suppliers, retailers, advisers and the trade press.

Heavily involved in strategy, policy and company values, James is also passionate about fairness, equal opportunities and a healthy work-life balance across the business.

Jamie Douglas-Hamilton, Founder and Director of  ACTIPH Water

Jamie founded ACTIPH water after rowing from Australia to Africa when he realised mixing small amounts of sea water with their water hydrated them faster than ordinary water. This inspired him to research water all over the world to see what else was possible with enhancing water. He found alkaline ionised water in Japan and with this technology was the first to market in Europe and is now pioneering the growth of this new category.

Oliver Bolton, Founder and Managing Director or Almond and Waterbomb Ltd

Oliver has been working in the soft drinks industry over the last 12 years, having founded his disruptive hydration business, Waterbomb in 2007. Waterbomb was the first European soft drinks company to become a B Corp in 2015 and Oliver is dedicated to building purpose-led brands that support people and the planet. He launched his new food-tech platform, Almond earlier this year. Almond is a blockchain based ecosystem that aims to create an alternative goods market to better benefit consumers, the planet and purpose-driven brands. A secure, hidden ‘Almond Matrix Code’ is included on partner products to create a unique digital identity which then allows brands to share specific product supply-chain data and offer token loyalty rewards. Almond launches in partnership with Waterbomb's new ‘FACT’ organic flavoured, zero sugar water.

Kris Ingham, Founder of Rejuvenation

After quitting his job in the City, Kris launched innovative health drink, Rejuvenation Water, in early 2016. After discovering the health benefits of Amino Acids 10 years previous to this, Kris set about bringing Amino Acids to the mass market in a convenient and tasty way, hence Rejuvenation Water was born. Rejuvenation Water can now be found in 8 countries as well as retailers such as Costco, Tesco, Waitrose, Holland & Barrett, Morrisons and Ocado.
