Europe's biggest ever bottled water event
Europe's biggest ever bottled water industry event is planned for 5th to 8th March 2002 near Bologna in northern Italy, which has the world's highest consumption levels.
For the first time, the European Bottled Watercooler Association will be expanding its annual trade fair and convention, which already attracts over 1000 delegates, to include smaller pack sizes.
"More mineral water and soft drinks companies are keen to explore the potential of watercoolers," comments EBWA President Emmanuel Eeman, "while watercooler companies are looking to extend their product ranges. So it makes sense for suppliers, bottlers and distributors to fulfil all their requirements at a single event. And there is no better place to start than the home of so many renowned bottling equipment manufacturers."
"The marketplace arguments are irresistible too", adds Richard Hall, Chairman of event organisers Zenith International. "Bottled water sales continue to grow across Europe every year. Watercoolers are a driving force, achieving over 30% growth in each of the last ten years. Consumers are also encouraging a host of innovations from sports caps and larger family packs to flavoured and functional waters."
The 2002 trade fair will take place on 6th and 7th March at the modern purpose built exhibition centre of Ferrara Fiera near Bologna. There will be visits to nearby bottling plants on 5th and 8th March as well as a series of conferences, workshops, social events and other meetings during the four days. Partner tours will also be organised to Florence and Venice.
The theme of the event will be Acqua Culture. "Water has always been essential to life, but the need for hydration is becoming even more important in today's lifestyles. Our aim is for the entire industry to come together, united by a single mission of developing Europe's Acqua Culture," concludes Emmanuel Eeman.
