FAIRTRADE – FAIR COP

Fair trade is good. Fairtrade is a good brand. There are lots of other ethical logos and standards, from eco to organic. But who standardises the standard bearers ? I read last week that, after five years of debate, France has formed a Commission Nationale de Commerce Equitable to agree on common labelling for equitable trading. It would be even better if there were recognised international standards.
