I travel a lot. A world view can only come from viewing the world. This week, I’ve been in New York. Two weeks ago, I visited Salvador de Bahia in Brazil.
Like the city of Bath, where I’m based, the historic centre of Salvador de Bahia has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was a delightful trip and experience on the way to our Dairy Vision event at Campinas near Sȃo Paulo.
The most surprising highlight was this huge Christmas tree made from PET bottles. You can see how big it is. And how well designed.
It’s a fun idea. It also has a point, All these bottles have been used. They have also been collected. They have now been re-purposed. They can still be recycled. And I am sure they will be.
Do visit the tree yourselves. Maybe there’s one like it near to you, which you can share?
I take this opportunity to offer my compliments of the season and wish you an especially Hap-P-E-T Christmas as well as a successful New Year.
