James Quincey
Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company
James Quincey is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Coca-Cola Company. He has held the position of Chairman of the Board since April 24, 2019.
From 2013 to 2015, Quincey served as President of The Coca-Cola Company’s Europe Group, which is comprised of 38 countries including the Member States of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association countries and the Balkans.
Quincey also played an instrumental role in leading the merger of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Iberian Partners and Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetranke AG to form Coca-Cola European Partners Plc., which is now the world’s largest independent Coca-Cola bottler based on net revenues.
Prior to his role as head of the Europe Group, Quincey served as President of the Northwest Europe and Nordics business unit (NWEN) from 2008 to 2012. From 2005 to 2008, Quincey was President of the Mexico Division. Quincey joined the company in Atlanta in 1996 as Director of Learning Strategy for the Latin America Group. He went on to serve in a series of operational roles of increased responsibility in Latin America, leading to his appointment as President of the South Latin Division in 2003. During his time in South Latin, Quincey was instrumental in developing and executing a successful brand, pack, price and channel strategy, which has now been replicated in various forms throughout Coca-Cola’s global system.
Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Quincey was a Partner in strategy consulting at The Kalchas Group, a spin off from Bain & Company and McKinsey. Quincey, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, received a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Liverpool.
Matthew Dent
President and Chief Operation Officer of Buffalo Rock
Matthew Dent, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Buffalo Rock Company, is responsible for the company’s overall operations in Alabama, western Georgia and the panhandle of Florida.
Matthew began his career with Buffalo Rock serving as an intern during his junior year at the University of Alabama, where he subsequently received his degree in Marketing from the Culverhouse College of Commerce. That proposed 3-month internship developed into a 2-year part-time position where Matthew garnered experience in warehouse operations, store level execution and sales, budgeting and planning, and direct support to the Tuscaloosa General Manager. Prior to his graduation in 1997, Matthew was hired full-time working directly with the Company’s Senior Leadership where he coordinated improvement projects and realigned operations, eventually being named Corporate General Manager of Marketing & Strategy. In 2005, as Vice President of Corporate Development, Marketing & Strategy, he assumed broader responsibilities, including the overall management of the 10 operating divisions and becoming directly involved with the executive management of his fellow officers. In 2008, Matthew was named Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and then named President/Chief Operating Officer January 1, 2011.
Matthew continues to be involved with a number of organizations locally and nationally, including the American Beverage Association and the Pepsi Cola Bottlers’ Association.
Arturo Gutiérrez Hernández
Chief Executive Officer of Arca Continental
Arturo Gutiérrez Hernández is Chief Executive Officer of Arca Continental, one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the world with an international history spanning more than 91 years.
He oversaw the operational merger process of Embotelladoras Arca and Grupo Continental and most recently, in his role as Deputy CEO, he led the U.S. integration of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages with Arca Continental.
Gutiérrez holds a Law Degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho and a Master’s Degree in Law from Harvard University.
Danny Stepper
CEO and Co-founder of LA Libations
Danny Stepper is CEO and Co-Founder of L.A. Libations and CEO and Founder of Globestepper Media. L.A. Libations is an entrepreneurial beverage company in North America.
Stepper started his career and spent 9 years in the Coca-Cola System where he played various roles in sales, marketing and brand management. Recruited out of The Coca-Cola Company in 2003 by Oscar winning Film Producer Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction, Goodwill Hunting, An Inconvenient Truth), Stepper produced the Disney Trilogy “Goal!” Stepper financed the projects through CPG companies, a Hollywood first. These landmark deals were with global powerhouses; Adidas, FIFA & The Coca-Cola Company. To date Goal! Is the largest brand & entertainment integration deal in the history of Hollywood and Madison Ave.
Danny Stepper is a film producer through his production company Globestepper Media, Stepper is currently producing 3 films in 2018, The Beautiful Game, a comedy called “Accidentes” with Tucker Tooley and “Sweet Spot” with Ron Shelton, the famed director of “Bull Durham”, “Tin Cup” and “White Men Can’t Jump.”
Stepper holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, a BA from Westmont College in Santa Barbara as well as international degrees from Collegio Magisterio (Spain) and Instituto De Lingua Espanol (Costa Rica). Danny is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
Katherine Lugar
President and CEO of the American Beverage Association
Katherine Lugar is president and chief executive officer of the American Beverage Association. The association is the leading policy and public education advocate for the non-alcoholic beverage industry.
In this role, she is responsible for setting the strategic vision for ABA, and serving as the industry’s voice on Capitol Hill, within the Administration and beyond the Beltway. Lugar also serves as president of the Board of Directors of the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America, which strives to make a significant contribution to the health of local communities by providing grants to support community organizations that work to advance both the physical health of their local citizens and the environmental health of their communities.
Prior to joining ABA, Lugar served as president and chief executive officer of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and oversaw the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation. With 25 years of experience in public and private sector public affairs, Lugar began her career in Washington, D.C., on the staff of Indiana Congressman Tim Roemer. She also has held positions as executive vice president of public affairs for the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), vice president of government relations for Travelers Insurance, and vice president of legislative and political affairs for the National Retail Federation.
Adam Stites
Founder and CEO of Mirth Provisions
Adam Stites is a serial entrepreneur with more than 18 years of experience in consumer products. In 2010, he started and grew iStores, Inc., an ecommerce retailer, to $9.7 million in revenue, before selling the business.
Stites has been named U.S. Small Business Administration “Young Entrepreneur of the Year."

Chief Executive Officer of Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling
Bill O’Brien serves as Chief Executive Officer for Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling (RCCB), a proud West Coast bottler and distributor of Coca-Cola products operating in California and Nevada.
Bill’s passion for leading, developing and managing people has been at forefront of his 30-year career within the Coca-Cola system. Among other roles, he has served as President and General Manager of the West Operating Unit of Coca-Cola Refreshments (CCR); Vice President and General Manager of CCR’s West Region; Senior Vice President and General Manager of On-Premise Operations for Coca-Cola North America (CCNA); Senior Vice President of Commercial Leadership for CCNA’s Still Beverage Business Unit; West Region Vice President for CCNA Retail; Vice President of Sales Operations for the CCNA Food Service division; and Vice President of Sales for the West Group of Coca-Cola Food Service.
Bill joined Coca-Cola in an engineering role in the Company’s bottle and can division. He completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and completed his graduate work with an MBA from Georgia State University.
Bill is actively involved in the community. In addition to volunteering with organizations like Special Olympics of Southern California, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission and LA84 Foundation. He is also an avid cyclist. Bill resides in Southern California with his wife Ellen, son Aidan and daughter Brook.

Tom Burkemper

Tom’s responsibilities include division business unit leadership in support of Walgreens alcohol & non-alcohol beverage categories which includes:
Tom’s background includes over 25 years of experience working for leading drug and convenience retailers as well as manufacturer’s across industrial, consumer package good, pharmaceutical, and beverage industries. He has held positions in merchandising, brand and trade marketing, sales, category management, retail analytics, e‐commerce, and shopper insights.
Tom received his PhD in Sociology with an emphasis in social psychology and organizations from the University of Notre Dame. He also holds an MBA with an emphasis in marketing and finance, a Masters in Marketing Research from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and Bachelors degrees from Washington University/St. Louis in Economics and Maryville University in St. Louis in Management Information Systems.
Yumi Clevenger-Lee
Executive Vice President and CMO of Nestlé Waters North America
Yumi has experience spanning areas of new product innovation, reinventing brands through purpose, developing engaging campaigns, and creating new communication and business models.
Yumi Clevenger-Lee oversees marketing strategy and business development of the company’s brands, including Poland Spring®, Deer Park®, Nestlé® Pure Life®, Perrier®, Acqua Panna® and S. Pellegrino®, as well as the company’s work in the areas of Insights, Innovation and eBusiness.
She serves on the Executive Management Team of Nestlé Waters North America, reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer.
Most recently, Yumi led marketing for Latin America at Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), a joint venture between General Mills and Nestlé to manufacture and market cereal globally in more than 120 markets.
Based in Mexico, she was responsible for all marketing activities across 14 countries, including brand building, innovation/renovation, promotions, category advocacy, regulatory affairs, and margin expansion. In her first eight months in the position, she launched an assortment of 14 new products across 12 markets. She also stabilized market share following three consecutive years of decline Prior to joining CPW in 2013, Yumi spent nearly a decade in numerous marketing roles at General Mills, based in Minneapolis and Toronto, where she worked on a range of brands including Green Giant Vegetables, Cheerios and Walmart & Sam’s Club Bakeries. Yumi holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Business and International Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.

Duane Stanford

Duane is Executive Editor of Beverage Digest, a newsletter covering the non-alcoholic drinks business. Previously, he spent 23 years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Bloomberg News.
While at Bloomberg’s Atlanta bureau, Duane was a regular contributor to Businessweek magazine and to Bloomberg television and radio. He also appeared on programs including NPR’s Marketplace. Most of Duane’s time at the AJC was spent covering local, state and federal government, as well as politics. He joined the Business Desk in 2006 to cover beverages.

Derek Hopkins

Derek Hopkins serves as Chief Commercial Officer for Keurig Dr Pepper. Before this role, he was the Chief Integration Officer leading the Keurig Dr Pepper merger and, prior to that, was President of the Keurig Green Mountain U.S. business.
Derek joined Keurig in 2015 and has spent the last 25+ years in the beverage industry across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. He has held a number of general management, strategy, commercial and marketing roles for companies including Bacardi, Coca-Cola Company, AB InBev, and Guinness Diageo. In the Chief Commercial Officer role, Derek has responsibility for direct store delivery, warehouse direct, e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, fountain foodservice, away from home, partner, and private label businesses. He also has responsibility for customer management across all channels and brands and all commercial functions.
Derek holds a BBA from Texas Wesleyan University and has completed a postgraduate program with INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

He completed a full term as the Head of Dentistry from 2010 in Warwick Dentistry at the University of Warwick, which has been ranked the third best University in the UK, with only Oxford and Cambridge being more highly ranked in 2011. Edward Lynch left The University of Warwick to join UNLV as Professor and Principal Director of Biomedical and Clinical Research in the School of Dental Medicine in the University of Nevada Las Vegas, USA in 2016 and has really enjoyed these past 3 years in UNLV. He is also an Honorary Professor in DeMontfort University in the UK.
