Lisa Gawthorne is Co-Founder of vegan food distribution company Bravura Foods.
A key speaker at events that have included Retail Week, The Natural and Organic Products Show, Food Matters Live and Vegfest, Lisa is passionate about the vegan foods market and the CBD movement which ties nicely to Bravura’s latest brand The Leaf Life – a CBD infused range of sparkling drinks. Outside of work Lisa is a successful vegan athlete sitting on Great Britain age group Team in the sport of duathlon as well as being an accomplished England age group runner. She is also author of the bite sized health and fitness saviour “Gone in 60 minutes” and is a regular contributor to the press with recent appearances on BBC News, Sky News and Radio 5 talking about the vegan market and the shift towards healthier, ethical and more sustainable foods.

Gavin Partington is the Director General of the British Soft Drinks Association (BSDA). The BSDA is the collective voice of the British soft drinks industry.
Head of Sustainability for Coca-Cola European Partners
Nick Brown is Head of Sustainability for Coca-Cola European Partners in the UK, leading the company’s work on Sustainable Packaging, Community Programmes, Water stewardship, Energy & Climate Change, and Sustainable Agriculture.
Nick has had a number of roles in Operational & Commercial functions at CCEP driving change and innovation through the organisation. Outside of work, Nick is a father of 3 young boys, a Scout Leader and keen club cyclist when time allows.
Founder of Caleño
Ellie hails from Colombia where happiness and joy is an attitude and way of life; it is in all of us and can be found in the simplest of things, all year round.
She believes in living a balanced lifestyle yet finds that too many times, we take the joy out of it – exercising or dieting to the extreme, being less colourful, too serious and not doing the things we love. When on a dance night out with friends, Ellie realised that not drinking sometimes came with losing that sense of joy - the colour, the energy and the laughs we share with other people. She launched Caleño – a tropical alcohol-free spirit – to bring the ingredients, colours, music and [energy/smiles] of Latin America to not drinking. Prior to launching Caleño, Ellie worked in the drinks industry for 4-5 years, for the UK’s largest drinks distributor, Matthew Clark. She was instrumental in revolutionising the format for Matthew Clark’s experiential trade tasting events, attracting 5,000 customers annually, and also led the On-Trade marketing campaign for the UK's largest beer launch for the past 20 years, Bud Light. Prior to Matthew Clark, Ellie worked for a Shopper Marketing agency where she account managed key revenue business accounts including; Nestlé, GSK, and Estee Lauder, delivering branded and category in-store activations across travel and domestic markets.
Director – Producer Responsibility at Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs
Melanie has worked on Resources and Waste policy since 2014. She currently leads on packaging and introducing a Deposit Return Scheme in Defra.

Prior to this, Melanie has held a number of policy jobs across Government since 2008 including international chemicals policy, climate change, better regulation and as a PS to a Defra Minister.

After leading a team at Guinness that turned around 20 years of brand decline, and over 10 years consulting in which he helped dozens of founders realise their potential, Shilen started Distill Ventures with his Co-founder, Frank Lampen, in 2013.
As the world’s first drinks accelerator, the company helps entrepreneurs scale their business in three ways: providing cash investment, mentoring partners to help them become better business leaders, and tapping into an extensive and experienced network of drinks experts. Shilen’s passions lie in providing start-up entrepreneurs with the guidance and expertise to launch into markets disruptively, and developing the non-alc drinks category. Distill Ventures has played a pivotal role in the acceleration of leading non-alc spirit, Seedlip, and Shilen cites his career highlight as meeting Ben Branson back in 2014, after which he helped turn Seedlip into what it is today, while creating an entirely new drinks category.

As Commercial Director of Innocent Drinks in the UK, John is responsible for the three main routes to market: Grocery, Out of Home and Field Sales.
In his thirteen years with Innocent, John has worked in various commercial based roles including seven years as Head of Procurement, responsible for buying all of the ingredients that make the drink

Co-founder of Funkin and Co-founder of Stryyk
Alex Carlton is Co-Founder and CEO of Stryyk.com the distilled non alcoholic spirit company that launched in Autumn 2018. Previously Alex founded Funkin Cocktails in 1999.
Funkin was created after identifying the growing trend for all natural, & fresh products in the cocktail market place. Funkin become the UK’s brand leader in cocktail purees and mixers and is available in over 30 countries globally with offices in London and Los Angeles, Alex sold Funkin in 2015 to AG Barr, owners of Irn Bru, Rubicon, Ka and Rock Star Energy Drink. Alex has always had his finger on the pulse and prides himself in being a forward thinker, a natural networker and a strategic consultant helping bring brands to life.
Founder of Jimmy's Iced Coffee
In 2010, a guy called Jim Cregan from the South Coast of England created Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, a range of awesome ready-drink-iced coffees which can now be found in great fridges across the UK and beyond.
The inspiration came from a petrol station stop whilst on a road trip around Oz. In his mind, he knew he had to head back to the UK at some point and wanted to bring the Iced Coffee experience with him. Jim now runs Jimmy’s Iced Coffee which is based in Bournemouth, England. He started the business with his sister and they now lead a team of over 20 crew, have 6 products and counting and do some great stuff helping the younger generation become inspired to do awesome things. They make awesome products, donate 1% of profits to charity through their Keep Your Chin Up programme and love a damn fine road trip.
Dr Marnie Millard
Chief Executive Officer of Nichols plc
Marnie is Group Chief Executive for Nichols PLC. She joined the company in 2012 as Managing Director of the UK Soft Drinks Division and was appointed to her current role in May 2013.
Marnie previously held senior roles at Refresco Gerber and Macaw Soft Drinks. Nichols plc is the home of Vimto, a soft drink which was established in 1908 by John Noel Nichols and today has a retail brand value of £90m. The business operates internationally and turnover for the group is £142m. Vimto is represented in more than 85 different countries. As well as her Executive responsibilities, Marnie is a non-executive Director for Finsbury Foods, non-executive Chairman for UA92 and is Vice President of the Management Board for the BSDA (British Soft Drinks Association) and was recently appointed as an advisor to the Board of Trade. Marnie was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2018 in recognition of her contributions to International Trade business in the North West.

Founder of Real Kombucha
Real was founded when David Begg had all but given up drinking. He was frustrated by the limited choice for non-drinkers and noticed they were not catered for in any serious, sophisticated manner.
A friend served him a glass of his home brew kombucha with a fantastic meal and he was utterly hooked. He started a passionate experimentation with different teas, and different processes in order to develop the finest kombucha that he could brew. Within two years the company has become one of the pioneers of the sober movement and is working to change attitudes towards alcohol in addition to becoming a leading authority on brewing and fermentation. David studied engineering at university. He was part of the founding team at what became booking.com, founded the high end furniture brand Tom Dixon, the education tech company Magic Town before finding his spiritual home in Real Kombucha.
