European point of use trade fair doubles in size
With market growth above 30% a year since 1999, the European point of use drinking water industry is becoming accustomed to rapid advances. But the doubling of stand space for its next trade fair on 5th and 6th April in Amsterdam could herald even faster expansion to come.
Point of use has many of the service advantages of bottled water coolers, such as chilling or heating and convenience of dispense. By being connected to mains water systems, point of use also has limitless supplies for a fraction of the cost and requires no bottle storage or lifting. The industry now accounts for over 10% of total cooler placements in Europe and is gaining share fast.
Sponsored by Tana Water, this year’s event has adopted the theme of “Connecting With Your Customers” and includes a conference as well as a series of workshops and a hygiene awareness training course.
The trade fair takes place on 5th April from 10.00 to 18.00 and on 6th April from 11.30 to 16.30 at the Amsterdam RAI exhibition complex Forum Centre, with free admission for bookings before 11th March. The other highlight is The Point magazine’s 2005 POU Awards being held on 5th April at 18.00, sponsored by Carbonit and IMI Cornelius, with an opportunity for industry members to vote beforehand online for their favourite suppliers.
Full details are available online at www.zenithinternational.com for the trade fair and www.zipublishing.com for the awards. For further information, contact Fiona Herrington on tel +44 (0) 1225 327903 or e-mail fherrington@zenithinternational.com.
