Minister for health to open Global Bottled Water Congress
The UAE Minister for Health, His Excellency Hamad Abdul Rahman Al Midfa, will head a distinguished platform of speakers at the Second Global Bottled Water Congress being held from 20th to 22nd September 2005 in Dubai. A welcome to what has become the world’s highest consuming market will also be given by the Chief Executive of Mashreqbank and Chairman of Gulf region market leader Masafi, Abdul-Aziz Al-Ghurair.
Two days of conference and seminar sessions will feature presentations by global market leaders Nestlé, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo as well as other top regional players – from Edson Queiroz in Brazil to Vöslauer in Austria and Fiji Water.
Under the theme of “Meeting global demands”, there will be sessions on world market trends and branding, value to consumers, emerging markets and responsibilities, product innovation, flavoured and functional waters, fitness and sport.
Other programme highlights include: the 2005 bottledwaterworld design awards gala dinner in the 27th floor ballroom of the iconic seven star Burj Al Arab; a tour of the Masafi bottling plant; a desert safari and Bedouin style dinner; alongside numerous informal networking opportunities.
