Pure satisfaction for Europe's watercooler industry in Barcelona
Barcelona is proving a big hit with Europe's bottled watercooler companies as bookings pour in for what promises to be the industry's biggest ever convention and trade fair, starting on 4th March.
This year's event will be particularly important in giving businesses a chance to reassess their plans in the wake of over 50 recent acquisitions. These include major entries by the world's bottled water leaders Nestlé and Danone, both of which will be presenting their view of the sector's future during the next five years.
Adopting the theme of 'Pure Satisfaction', the main highlights are:
- Trade fair displaying all the latest equipment and innovations on 5th and 6th March
- Welcome reception and Aqua Awards, followed by Tapas and Rumbas buffet and dance evening on 5th March
- Convention featuring industry leading speakers on 6th March
- Also plant tours to six locations, 14 workshops and a hygiene awareness course.
The European bottled watercooler market has grown by an average of more than 40% a year since 1990, taking the number of coolers installed to around 1.5 million today. Despite consolidation by international groups, the industry has seen large numbers of smaller newcomers. The event will also attract numerous bottled water, vending and other foodservice companies keen to explore the potential of cooler growth for their businesses.
The 9th annual European Bottled Watercooler Association Convention and Trade Fair is being organised by Zenith International and the main activities take place in Barcelona from 4th to 6th March. For further details, go to www.zenithinternational.com or e-mail ghulse@zenithinternational.com
