Zenith celebrates 25th Anniversary
This month, Zenith International celebrates its 25th anniversary, having been formed in March 1991 and since then becoming recognised as a world leading consultancy for the food and drink sector.
Key Zenith clients include many of the world’s top food and drink companies such as Nestlé and Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Danone. Zenith now has over 1,000 clients across more than 50 countries.
Its 50 strong team, backed by a global network of associates, is mainly based at its UK headquarters in the world heritage city of Bath. It opened an office in Dubai in 2013, followed by the acquisition of Beverage Digest in 2015 to help establish a third base in New York.
“When we started in 1991, we had no products and no customers,” commented Zenith Chairman Richard Hall. “It was the depth of an earlier recession and our biggest outlay was a then breakthrough plain paper fax machine.
“We had to demonstrate our credentials fast. We were the first to quantify trends that we now take for granted today – such as bottled water and energy drinks.
“Our main role today is to help companies expand internationally and to operate more efficiently, with special attention to health and the environment.
“This year we expect to undertake over 200 consulting projects, run 10 conferences and produce 20 market reports, undertaking research in 100 countries,” he concluded.
Zenith’s main areas of activity are strategy and management, mergers and acquisitions, commercial and market, operations and technical, water and environment, packaging and distribution.
The company’s 25th anniversary celebrations included a grand dinner dance in Bath’s historic Roman Baths and Pump Room (see photos) and a team building day at Celtic Manor in Wales (see photos).
