Zenith first for Water Stewardship
With increasing global concern about climate change, Zenith International has become the first independent UK consultancy to gain European Water Stewardship accreditation from the European Water Partnership.
This means that Zenith’s team of specialist hydrogeologists can now help clients obtain European Water Stewardship certification to improve their water conservation, processing and waste activities.
“Zenith already advises many world leading companies such as Coca-Cola, Diageo and Nestlé, so this recognition keeps us at the forefront of best water stewardship practice,” commented Zenith Chairman Richard Hall.
Water risk is becoming an increasingly important issue for business, especially in the food and drink sector. The risks to companies are wide ranging, from physical risks with water supply or quality, to reputational risks such as perceived inequalities in water access. There is also growing pressure for greater water regulation.
Water stewardship is a term which combines the environmentally sustainable and economically beneficial use of water through a process which includes consultation with stakeholders in the local community. It seeks to tackle global issues facing water use at a local catchment level.
Zenith International can now advise on all aspects of water stewardship, thereby helping clients create an approved water management strategy. This includes training, data collation and recommendations for improvement.
