Fewer food and drink industry transactions were recorded on the bevblog.net mergers and acquisitions database in November compared with the average month, but one was over $10,000 million and two more close to $1,000 million.
• $12,000 million for US brewer Molson Coors to buy the remaining 58% of its MillerCoors joint venture with UK based SABMiller
• $1,000 million for Constellation Brands to purchase the Ballast Point craft brewer in the United States
• $975 million for Pinnacle Foods to acquire Boulder Brands in the United States.
Among the 31 total, as many as 12 were in alcohol, with 4 in dairy, 3 in soft drinks and 2 each in equipment and ingredients.
22 countries featured, led by the United States on 12, followed by the United Kingdom on 9 and Switzerland on 3.
