432 different eco-labels

I knew there were a lot, but had no idea it was this many.

The international Ecolabel Index has identified no less than 432 symbols administered by governments, voluntary groups and industry alliances. And this doesn’t include nutrition or other types of labels and logos.

No wonder consumers are confused.

One day, it must make undeniable common sense to have a single set of standards and images for informing consumers and enabling them to compare similar products.
