Then the Prime Minister turned up

The Olympics are over. The Paralympics are coming. London has been abuzz.

I’ve never seen or felt anything like it. Everyone being enthusiastic. Everyone being helpful. Team GB at its best in every sense.

I went to an exceptionally high powered conference last week. It was part of the Government’s Olympics programme for business networking to promote UK business and foreign investment. My day was the Global Business Summit on Retail, Food and Drink.

Two senior Ministers spoke, along with the Chief Executives of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Diageo and Unilever among others. I met a few and learned a lot. Of which, more tomorrow.

But, just as it was nearly over, then the Prime Minister turned up. And one of the medal winning Olympic teams.

High motivating. A day and a mood to remember.
