Johanna Hignett
Consultant Nutritionist for British Dietetic Association
Johanna is a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) and a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
She has extensive experience as a nutritionist within the food industry providing nutrition support through an extensive career with Nestlé UK, and as Head of Nutrition Science and Communication in her last role with Nestlé. Johanna now works as a nutrition consultant through her business ‘Nourish Consulting’ providing nutrition support and advice to the food industry and allied companies such as advertising and PR. Clients have included major UK retailers (Sainsbury’s, Waitrose), Natural Source Waters Association, Cereal Partners UK, and Kaizo PR. Johanna is an editorial board member on the BDA sponsored magazine ‘Healthier Lives’ and also a part time nutrition lecturer at London South Bank University. Johanna is a scientist first and foremost and her work is based on sound scientific evidence. Johanna’s particular area of expertise involves using her expert communication skills in translating nutrition science into appropriate language for the specific target audience.

Lewis van Diggele
Public Affairs Manager of British Soft Drinks Association
Lewis leads political and government engagement for the BSDA, representing the interests of the soft drinks industry and ensuring that the industry's perspective is considered and the impact of policies and regulations is fully understood.
Working closely with British Soft Drinks Association (BSDA) members, he has coordinated the Association’s work on deposit return schemes and has been directly involved in the policy processes in Scotland and across the rest of the UK. The BSDA represents UK producers of soft drinks, including carbonated drinks, still and dilutable drinks, fruit juices and bottled water as well as franchisors, importers and suppliers to the industry. As the collective voice of the UK soft drinks industry, BSDA provides a common industry view on the legal, technical and social issues concerning soft drinks to the media and political audiences.


Paul Graham
Managing Director of Britvic
Paul joined Britvic in September 2012 having worked in a range of commercial roles across all trade channels for United Biscuits and Mars Confectionery.
He was promoted to the role of Managing Director, GB in July 2013 and leads the largest business unit in the Group. Paul is a graduate of the University of Manchester and is the Vice President of the British Soft Drinks Association.


John Letford
Head of Category Development at Danone Waters UK & Ireland
John celebrated 10 years at Danone Waters in October 2020, where he worked in commercial leadership roles in customer management for the first 5 years and, in the last 5 years has led Category Management and Commercial Strategy.
The main strategic projects he has been involved in over the last few years have been on developing and executing against Danone’s Category Vision whilst embedding a PRGM mindset that delivers the best value for Danone and their customers. Following the COVID related turbulence of the last 12 months, John is passionate about regaining freedom safely both, for his own wellbeing, the wellbeing of his family and for the wellbeing of the category. “We have all sorely missed the on-the-go mission”!


Alex Wright
Co-Founder of Dash Water
Dash is on a mission to save 2,600 tonnes of wonky fruit & veg by 2024. The beverages are stocked in 5,000 stores inc Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, British Airways, Boots and are the lead selling Seltzer brand in the UK.


Ravinder Singh Sandhu
Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Drinks Cubed
Ravinder co-founded Drinks Cubed in 2018 with a motivation to become the lowest CO2 footprint drinks brand in the UK.
Ravinder has an array and depth of experience with 15 years as an Investment banker at JP Morgan and HSBC working in global markets across asset classes gaining strong financial knowledge. Experienced Sales and Marketing roles at Panasonic.


Sukhi Sandu
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Drinks Cubed
Sukhi has over 10 years’ experience in the food and drinks industry.
This experience ranges across the supply chain including European and domestic distribution, importing, sales and marketing. Working with brands that have seen exponential growth including Vita Coco, Pip & Nut and Primal Pantry. He also has set up and built a London sales agency that helps start-up brands targets the independent grocery, health & fitness and pharmacy trade.

Carol Saunders
Head of Marketing at Highland Spring
Carol joined Highland Spring Group almost 6 years ago and is Head of Marketing, a role which oversees Customer, Category and Consumer marketing for the business.
Carol has a wealth of experience across Category Development, Marketing and Sales, having previously spent a significant number of years within the BWS industry and held senior roles in Heineken and C&C specifically during that time.

Sally Ball
Consumer Insight Director at Kantar
Sally has over 20 years experience in the shopper insight industry, working across a wide spectrum of markets from Fresh Foods, to Retail, Soft Drinks, Healthcare and Snacking.
As well as a long career at Kantar, Sally spent some time working at Somerfield/KwikSave where she looked after Category Research before helping to develop the newly formed Category Planning process. She lives in Bath with her husband and two sons. She spends her free time running and singing acapella – although rarely at the same time.

Anthony Walker
Senior Communications Manager of Natural Source Waters Association
Anthony Walker is Senior Communications Manager at the Natural Source Waters Association (NSWA), where he has been since October 2017.
Previous to the NSWA, Anthony worked in various communication roles at Diageo, the Sentencing Council and the British Transport Police Authority. Part of Anthony’s role is to monitor government policy, developing and coordinating the NSWA’s response to government consultations.


Ammad Ali Durrani
Head of Category & Shopper Development at Nestlé Waters UK
Ammad has worked for Nestlé for 17 years and the majority of his career has been spent in Category Development, Sales & Marketing, both in developing and developed markets.
In 2012 Ammad moved to the UK and joined Nestlé Waters in Category Development working across different channels and customers. Ammad has headed up Category & Shopper Development in the UK since 2018.

Rali Sanderson
Executive Vice President of Niagara Bottling
Rali is Executive Vice President of International, Product Development, and Contract Manufacturing.
He also serves on Niagara’s Executive Board, and is Chairman of the Niagara Advisory Board in Mexico, the Board of Nu-Pure Beverages in Australia, and the Board of Shepley Springs in the U.K.. Niagara has experienced a phenomenal 35% CAGR during his 16 year tenure. At the same time, he has minimized Niagara’s environmental impact per unit by more than 50%. Rali graduated from the University of Denver’s Daniels School of Business with a major in International Business and Honors Studies, and from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. He current lives in Southern California with his wife Briana and two children.

William Watkins
Managing Director of Radnor Hills
William founded Radnor Hills in 1991, on his family farm based on the Welsh borders. They now produce over 350 million bottles, cans and Tetra cartons per year across a diverse range of products within the soft drinks market.
They produce their own brands as well as working with supermarkets on own-label projects in plastic and glass formats. William believes it is an exciting place to work with a fantastic team.


Davy Brunel

Davy started his career in 1995 as Production Manager for Sodas SAO PAOLO, an independent soft drinks factory in France, where he later became a shareholder.
In 2015 he joined Sources Alma and moved to England to develop the Lichfield factory where he became Manager of this factory in January 2016. In 2019 he became Roxane UK's Country Manager and in October 2020 he was promoted to Director of Roxane UK.

Robin Bell

Robin is a Senior Consultant, specialising in the West European & North American markets, in addition to overseeing the North American business unit.
He is responsible for the delivery of client projects across consultancy, market intelligence and commercial insight. Robin has 15 years of strategic marketing and product development experience in food and consumer durables markets. Most recently Robin has launched both food service and direct to consumer food ranges into new and existing markets for Apetito AG and Kerry Foods, executing product and route to market strategies. Robin holds an MSc in International Management and an MBA in International Business.
